In June 2014 the CSCS card rules changed. Labourers now need to pass a one day Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, as well as passing the CSCS test before they can apply for the 5 year card. We can offer a one day package to get clients on site in the quickest possible time. Another option is to pass the CSCS test and apply for a provisional 6 month card which is non-renewable and gives you 6 months in which to complete a Level 1 Award. If you have been refused entry on site, our same day test service, instant pass certificate and supporting letter will enable you to start work straight away.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Test 

 

WHAT: CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out. The CSCS Test is a multiple choice Health, Safety & Environment Test. It is computer based and will assess you on areas of health and safety and hazards which are relevant to your specific trade. The CSCS test is designed to improve health and safety awareness and reduce accidents, injuries and deaths on construction sites.

CSCS cards are increasingly being demanded as proof of occupational competence by most Principal Contractors, public and private sector clients.  With new legislation being introduced by the government, if you don’t have the right card then you won’t be allowed on to any construction site.

Personal Track Safety (PTS)

 

WHAT:  A PTS Certificate is required before anybody is allowed to work within the boundary of Network Rail and London Underground tracks in the UK (on or near the line). 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Any worker must undergo a medical and a drug and alcohol test before attending a "personal track safety" course.

 

WHAT WE OFFER: The INITIAL PERSONAL TRACK SAFETY COURSE 2 DAYS (PTS Training) is the entry level qualification for anyone who wishes to work in the railway industry.

 

The PTS course can cover two competencies - AC (overhead wire) and DC (third rail).plus "Working Near or adjacent to the DC Conductor Rail (DCCR)" endorsement.

 

THIS COURSE WLL COVER BOTH THE AC COMPETENCY an DCCR.

 

At the end of this course delegates will be able to:

1. Demonstrate their ability to interpret correctly the Rule Book GE/RT 8000 Series or Personal Track Safety Handbook (TSH) and relevant local instructions when required to go "On or Near the Line".

2. Demonstrate their understanding and ability to follow a Safe System of Work.
